Getting started with QuoteCloud

Fleet, motor and cyber quotes with every limit clear

Vehicle classes on agreed values, goods in transit, cyber and professional indemnity limits, the options and the excess, in one document.

Specialist brokers use QuoteCloud for fleet, motor, cyber and professional indemnity quotes: covers and limits per insurer side by side, the vehicle schedule as an attached PDF, optional covers and excess choices, the specialist's notes, a director's approval on large accounts (Business) and every signer's eSignature.

A fictional courier company's vehicle schedule, attached as a PDF: twelve vans with agreed values totalling $612,000 and two pickups totalling $96,000. The van rows light and become the comparison line for comprehensive motor on 12 vans at $18,960 with Alder & Finch, then the pickups become the 2 pickups line at $2,480. A card shows Alder & Finch Insurance recommended with the windscreen excess waiver, an annual premium of $23,100.00 as quoted, approved by the director because it is over $20,000.

Two specialist quotes, every limit side by side

The same comparison layout carries a fourteen-vehicle fleet and a professional firm's PI and cyber, with the specialist's notes in the document.

Notes from Arun

  • Every insurer has quoted the same agreed values from your schedule, so the van and pickup lines compare like for like.
  • Alder & Finch's goods in transit limit is $50,000 any one vehicle, the same as the other two.
  • The higher excess saves $1,320 a year with Alder & Finch; with fourteen vehicles on the road, we'd keep the standard excess.

Sam OkoyeDoes goods in transit cover parcels left in a locked van overnight?

Arun, TallowmereOnly from a locked vehicle with signs of forced entry, as set out in Alder & Finch's wording. I've attached the clause.

Large accounts reviewed before they're sent

Fleet recommendations run into five figures. With an approval rule on total value, anything over $20,000 goes In Review, and Helen approves it before Tess and Sam ever see it.

What to put in a specialist quote template

The parts specialist brokers build into their fleet, motor, cyber and PI templates so every comparison is fair and quick to check.

  • Identical limits rows

The same covers and limits in every insurer's column, so the only difference is each insurer's premium.

  • The schedule as a PDF

The client's vehicle or asset schedule attached as a PDF block, behind the class rows.

  • Optional covers

Waivers, hire vehicles, cyber or management liability as rows the client ticks.

  • Excess choices

Standard or higher excess as a single choice, with each insurer's quoted saving.

  • Specialist notes

Your notes on sub-limits and conditions, and comments for the client's questions.

  • Every decision-maker

The manager who met you and the director who didn't, each with their own signing block.

The director who wasn't in the meeting signs too

Tess, the operations manager, went through the options with Arun and signed. Sam, the director, gets his own signing block and the same document, with Arun's notes and the answer to his question about goods in transit.

Until Sam signs, the recommendation shows as awaiting signature, and your team can see it on the documents list.

  • Several signers on one recommendation
  • Signed and awaiting, per signer

Fleet and cyber quote questions, answered

How do I lay out a fleet insurance quote?

Put one row per vehicle class with its agreed value and each insurer's premium, goods in transit and any optional covers below, and the excess as a single choice. Attach the client's vehicle schedule as a PDF block so every insurer's terms can be checked against the same list.

Does QuoteCloud connect to telematics or vehicle data?

No. QuoteCloud has no telematics, vehicle data, insurer or rating integrations. The schedule is the client's own document, and you type each insurer's premiums from their quotes or send them through the API, Zapier or Make. Your notes can explain how each insurer's terms apply to the schedule.

Can QuoteCloud assess a client's cyber risk?

No. QuoteCloud doesn't score cyber risk or assess security. A cyber quote in QuoteCloud shows the limits and premiums each insurer quoted, your notes, and the client's choice and signature. Any questionnaire the insurer needs stays with the insurer's own process.

Can large fleet quotes need approval before sending?

Yes, on the Business plan. Set an approval rule on total value, such as recommendations over $20,000, and the document goes In Review until the named approver approves it. The approval log stays with the document. Who sent it for review and who approved it is logged with the document.

Can a director sign after the operations manager?

Yes. Add both as signers and each signs in their own block whenever they open it. The document shows who has signed and who is awaiting signature. A fixed signing order isn't something we describe, so add every signer the decision needs.

Does QuoteCloud explain policy wordings?

No. Policy wordings are the insurer's, and any explanation in the quote is your own content. QuoteCloud makes no claims about wordings and gives no advice. Attach the wording as a PDF if you want the client to have it in the same document, and add your own notes on sub-limits and conditions beside the figures.
