Getting started with QuoteCloud

Insurance proposal and renewal templates

Real QuoteCloud templates for insurance proposals, coverage summaries and policy agreements, ready for your comparison, wording and fee.

QuoteCloud's template library includes an Insurance Proposal Template, an Insurance Coverage Summary Template and an Insurance Policy Agreement Template, plus quote and estimate templates brokers adapt. Open one, add your insurer comparison, disclosure wording and broker fee, and save it as your recommendation template. One template conversion is free during the trial on Essentials, Business and Enterprise.

A brokerage's template set as four sheets behind index tabs, taking turns at the front: a business insurance recommendation cover, an apartment building insurance renewal with last year beside this year, an underwriting agency's quote summary, and a risk consultant's fee table. All sample documents from fictional businesses.

From the Insurance Proposal Template to your recommendation

The Insurance Proposal Template gives you the shape: client overview, coverage summary, pricing and terms. Make it a Tallowmere recommendation by adding the parts brokers need.

Turn the pricing into a comparison with each insurer as a single choice and add-ons as optional rows, add your broker fee as its own line, drop in your locked disclosure block and acknowledgement, and set the signing block and payment on signing. Save it, and every account manager starts from the same recommendation.

  • Your branding, cover letter and data items
  • Insurers side by side, add-ons and excess choices
  • Your broker fee line and payment setting
  • Locked disclosure wording and acknowledgement (Business)

Underwriting agencies

A quote template becomes an agency's quote summary

Tern Point Underwriting sends brokers its terms and the conditions the offer is subject to from a quote template, and the broker accepts in the same document. The agency's own terms; QuoteCloud doesn't bind or issue policies.

Template questions

Does QuoteCloud have insurance templates?

Yes. The template library includes an Insurance Proposal Template, an Insurance Coverage Summary Template and an Insurance Policy Agreement Template. Brokers also adapt quote and estimate templates, such as the Precision Corporate Sales Quote and the Professional Business Estimate, for commercial recommendations, agency summaries and consultants' fees.

Can a template include a comparison of several insurers?

Yes. Build the comparison into your template once: each insurer as a single choice, covers as price-table rows, add-ons as optional items and the excess as a choice. Each new recommendation starts with that layout, and you type the premiums in or your broking system sends them through the API.

Will QuoteCloud convert our existing recommendation template?

Yes. During the free trial, QuoteCloud converts one of your existing templates for you on the Essentials, Business and Enterprise plans. More conversions are available as professional services. Send your current Word or PDF recommendation, or your renewal letter, and it comes back as a QuoteCloud template.

Do the templates cover our disclosure obligations?

No. The templates give you layout and structure, and QuoteCloud makes no compliance claims; the disclosure wording, terms and anything your licence requires are your brokerage's own. Keep approved wording in a locked library block (Business) so every document starts from it.

Can account managers change the template?

They can edit their own parts of each document, such as the cover letter and notes. Custom roles decide who can edit templates and the content library, and content locking (Business) keeps wording such as your disclosures exactly as written.
