- Building QuoteCloud since 2013
Brokers use QuoteCloud to send SME business insurance packs: each cover with its limit and premium as quoted, optional covers such as theft, machinery breakdown or cyber, a property excess choice, the broker fee as its own line, the owner's acknowledgement and signature, and the fee paid on signing if the broker chooses.
A line drawing of a fictional gift shop, Paper Crane Gifts, with each cover of its business pack lit where it applies: public and products liability at the door, property on the shelves, glass on the shopfront window, business interruption on the clock and theft on the door lock. Corvane General, the broker's recommendation, quoted $2,795.00 a year for the pack; with the broker fee of $308.00 including tax the total is $3,103.00.

What goes into a business pack template
The parts your team builds once and reuses for every SME renewal. The plain-words explanation of each cover is your own wording, written into the template.
Core covers
Liability, property, business interruption and glass as price-table rows, with the limit and basis in each line note.
Optional covers
Theft, money, machinery breakdown or cyber as optional rows the owner ticks, each insurer's price in its own column.
Excess choice
Standard or higher excess as a single choice, moving each premium by that insurer's quoted amount.
Your explanations
A short note on what each cover is for, in your words. It's your content: QuoteCloud doesn't write or check it.
Locked disclosure wording
Your licence's wording in a locked company block account managers can't edit (Business).
Fee and payment
Your broker fee with tax on its own line and, if you choose, paid on signing by card or PayPal.

- 2
Update the covers
Change any limits and type each insurer's premiums from their quotes, including the levies and duty they show.
- 3
Send it
The owner opens it on any device, ticks options and asks questions in the comments.
- 4
Sign and pay
Each owner signs, and your broker fee can be paid on signing.
- 5
Place the cover
You place the cover with the chosen insurer as you do today. QuoteCloud doesn't bind or issue policies.
Business pack questions, answered
Can I send a whole business insurance pack as one document?
Yes. Put every cover of the pack in one price table: liability, property, business interruption and glass as rows with their limits, optional covers the owner ticks, an excess choice and your broker fee on its own line. The owner reads it on any device, chooses and signs.
Can I have different pack templates for cafés, shops and offices?
Yes. Make a template per trade group with the covers and wording that business usually needs, then create each client's pack from the right one. Templates are on Essentials and up, and a content library can hold the blocks your templates share.
Who writes the explanation of each cover?
You do. Plain-words explanations, your recommendation and your disclosure wording are your brokerage's own content in the template. QuoteCloud doesn't write, check or approve insurance wording and gives no advice. You can lock that wording in the template on the Business plan, so account managers change only the limits and premiums for each client.
Can the owner choose a higher excess?
Yes. Set the excess options as a single choice under the covers. Each option carries the amount each insurer quoted for it, so choosing a higher excess lowers each premium by that insurer's figure and the totals follow. Insurers that don't offer a level can simply leave it at the standard excess.
Can the business owner pay when they sign?
Yes, from the Essentials plan. Take your broker fee, or the fee and premium, by card or PayPal on signing into your brokerage's own Stripe or PayPal account. QuoteCloud doesn't hold client money or arrange premium funding or instalments, so check your own rules before taking premiums.
Does QuoteCloud bind the cover or issue the policy?
No. The signed pack records the owner's choice. You place the cover with the insurer and the insurer issues the policy, as you do today. QuoteCloud does no claims handling either. The signed document, its certificate of authenticity and the audit trail stay on file in your account for your records.
