Insurance quoting questions, answered
What brokers, underwriting agencies and risk consultants ask before they move their recommendations and renewals to QuoteCloud.

In short: premiums are typed in or sent through the API (no insurer integrations), insurers sit side by side with your recommendation marked, the broker fee is its own line, disclosure wording can be locked and acknowledgements collected (Business), several people can sign, payments go to your own Stripe or PayPal account, and nothing renews by itself.
Comparisons and premiums
What is QuoteCloud for insurance brokers?
QuoteCloud is quoting, proposal and eSignature software. Brokers use it to send recommendations from their own templates with several insurers' options side by side, optional covers and excess choices, the broker fee as its own line, their disclosure wording, the client's acknowledgement and signatures, and a payment on signing if they choose. It isn't a broking system and gives no advice.
Where do the premiums come from?
From you. Get terms from each insurer as you do today and type the premiums into the comparison, or have your broking system send them as price-table rows through the QuoteCloud API, Zapier or Make when it creates the document. QuoteCloud has no insurer, rating or quoting-platform integrations.
Can the client choose between insurers in the document?
Yes. Set each insurer's option as a single choice with your recommendation marked, covers as rows, add-ons as optional items and the excess as a choice. The client picks an insurer and ticks optional covers, and the premium, your fee and the total follow. The signed document records exactly what they chose.
Can we hide our commission or costs from the client?
Price tables can hold cost and margin columns that are hidden from the client, so your team sees them and the client doesn't. What you disclose about how you're paid is your brokerage's decision, made in your own wording. Price tables are on Essentials and up.
What QuoteCloud doesn't do, so you know where it sits
Plain answers to the noes brokers ask about most. QuoteCloud sends, records and collects on signing; your brokerage, your insurers and your other systems do the rest.
No insurer or rating connections
Premiums are typed in from each insurer's quote or sent from your broking system through the API. QuoteCloud rates nothing.
No advice or compliance claims
Your recommendation and your disclosure wording are your brokerage's own. QuoteCloud doesn't check them against any rule.
No binding, policies or claims
It doesn't bind cover, issue policies or handle claims. Those stay with the insurer and your broking system.
No trust account or premium funding
One payment on signing into your own Stripe or PayPal account. No instalments, monthly plans or payment reminders.
No auto-renewal
Expiry dates and the Expiring Soon filter show what's due; every renewal is a document your client signs.
No native broking-system link
Broking systems connect through Zapier, Make or the API, where they have a connector or an API.
Broker fees and payments
Can the broker fee be its own line?
Yes. Put your broker fee on its own price-table line with tax and a note on what it covers, separate from the premiums shown as quoted. When the client changes insurer or adds a cover, the premium changes and your fee line stays as you set it. Price tables are on Essentials and up.
Can clients pay when they sign?
Yes, from the Essentials plan. Connect Stripe or PayPal and set a payment on signing as a fixed amount, a percentage or the full amount. The client pays by card or PayPal into your brokerage's own account as they sign, and the payment shows in the document history.
Does QuoteCloud hold premiums or run a trust account?
No. Payments go straight to the Stripe or PayPal account your brokerage connects. QuoteCloud doesn't hold client money, run a trust account or arrange premium funding, so check your own rules before taking premiums on signing. The client's payment appears in the document history.
Can clients pay by the month?
Not through QuoteCloud. It takes one payment on signing and nothing later: no instalments, monthly plans, payment reminders or automatic billing. Monthly premiums stay with the insurer or your premium funder, and you can explain that option in the recommendation's wording.

Disclosures and signing
Can we include our disclosure wording and an acknowledgement?
Yes. Keep your wording in a locked company block that account managers can't change, and add a Forms block with the statements the client ticks before signing. Both are on the Business plan. The wording is your own: QuoteCloud makes no compliance claims and doesn't check it against your licence's obligations.
Can several people sign, such as directors or an owners' association committee?
Yes. Add every signer and each gets their own link and signing block, without a QuoteCloud account. The document shows who has signed and the certificate of authenticity records them all. There is no set signing order: signers sign whenever they open it. eSignatures are on every plan.
How are signers verified?
You can ask each signer to enter a one-time passcode sent to their email before signing. Every signature is recorded with its date and time in the certificate of authenticity and the audit trail. QuoteCloud doesn't do other identity checks.
Renewals and integrations
Does QuoteCloud help with renewals?
Yes. Every document can carry an expiry date and the Expiring Soon filter lists what's coming up. Revise Last Version re-quotes last year's recommendation as a new version, and bulk send sends one renewal template as personal copies (Essentials and up, volume-based costs). Nothing renews by itself.
Does QuoteCloud send renewal reminders?
No. QuoteCloud doesn't send reminders or renew policies. It shows what's due and who has opened, accepted or commented on each renewal, so your team can follow up the clients who haven't responded. Expiry dates and the Expiring Soon filter show which renewals are coming up, on Essentials and up.
Does QuoteCloud connect to our broking system?
Only through Zapier, Make or the QuoteCloud API, where your broking system has a connector or an API, from the Essentials plan. The automation can create recommendations with premiums as rows, and Zapier triggers send signed, paid and form-submitted events back. There is no native broking-system integration.
Which accounting and CRM systems connect?
Xero and QuickBooks Online are native on the Business plan, and otherwise connect through Zapier. HubSpot and Zoho connect through Zapier, and Salesforce through Zapier or the Salesforce Sync add-on. Slack and Microsoft Teams can post document updates, comments and actions to a channel.
Plans, security and getting started
Which plan do brokers need?
Essentials ($39 per user a month) covers price tables, templates, payments on signing, Zapier, Make and the API, bulk send and expiry dates. Business ($59) adds locked wording, the Forms block, approvals, version history and native accounting and CRM integrations. eSignatures are on every plan, including Free.
Where is our data stored?
QuoteCloud runs on Amazon Web Services with servers in the USA and 256-bit encryption, and supports GDPR. Signed documents carry a certificate of authenticity and an audit trail. Your own data-handling obligations remain your brokerage's to assess. Signers can also be asked for a one-time passcode sent to their email.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. QuoteCloud has a free plan and a 14-day free trial of Essentials or Business with no credit card required. During the trial QuoteCloud converts one of your existing templates for free on Essentials, Business and Enterprise, and paid plans include a 45-minute training session.
