Bathroom renovation plumbers use QuoteCloud to quote by stage with group subtotals, put fixture and tile selections and upgrades in as options, show the programme as a Gantt chart (Business), and handle each change by revising the last version, so the owners sign the new version and the earlier one is kept (version history, Business).

Priced by stage, with a programme to plan around
The McLeods' renovation is four stages, each a section of the price table with its own subtotal: strip-out, rough-in, waterproofing and tiling, fit-off. The tile allowance is written as your allowance, at a rate per square metre.
Under it, the programme as a Gantt chart: fifteen working days with the rough-in check and the handover as milestones. The owners can plan three weeks without a bathroom, and the options are there to tick before they sign.

No new payment on signing
Each change is the last version revised and signed again, with the earlier versions kept in version history (Business plan). QuoteCloud takes the deposit on signing only; Weirbrook's stage invoices, including the v3 change, are its own. There's no variation module and no allowance reconciliation: a difference goes into a revised version.
Both owners sign the version that counts
A renovation usually has two decision makers. Add both as signers: each gets their own link, signs with a legally binding eSignature, and the quote shows who has signed.
The version history sits in the document too, so there's never a question about which price was agreed.

Questions plumbers ask
How do I quote a bathroom renovation by stage?
Make each stage a section of the price table, such as strip-out, rough-in, waterproofing and tiling, and fit-off, with its own lines and subtotal. Add upgrades as optional rows the owners tick. A Gantt chart can show the programme on the Business plan.
How are changes handled once the quote is signed?
Revise the last version: the change becomes a new version with its own price, and the owners sign it before you do the work. Earlier versions are kept in version history on the Business plan. QuoteCloud has no separate variation module.
Can both owners sign?
Yes. Add several signers to one quote. Each gets their own link, signs with a legally binding eSignature without needing an account, and the document shows who has signed. A signing order isn't set: each signs when they're ready.
Does QuoteCloud bill the stages as we go?
No. QuoteCloud takes a deposit or full payment when the quote is signed, through Stripe or PayPal. Stage invoices are yours, from your accounting system. Xero and QuickBooks connect natively on Business or through Zapier.
Can I include a tile allowance?
Yes, as a line in your price table with your own wording, for example a rate per square metre up to an amount. QuoteCloud doesn't track or reconcile allowances: if the selection costs more, the difference goes into a revised version the owners sign.
