Gas fitters use QuoteCloud to quote a gas line or appliance install from a template: the appliance as a single choice, the line priced by the metre, bayonets and isolation valves as lines, their own safety and compliance notes as locked content (Business), and the customer signs and pays a deposit.
A plan of a fictional house with a kitchen and a deck. A new gas line draws from the meter to the cooktop, 9 m, then branches out to a bayonet on the deck, 5 more metres. Beside it the quote, WP-G-0742, lights each line: the 75 cm five-burner cooktop $980, the gas line 14 m at $68 a metre, $952, and the deck bayonet $290, ending on $3,087.70 including installation, testing and tax.

Choose the cooktop, set the metres, sign
The Pembertons' gas quote, ready to try. The cooktop is a single choice that sets its line in the price table. The gas line is priced by the metre with quantity editing on: Grace wanted the bayonet nearer the steps, so she added two metres and the total followed.
Installation and commissioning are fixed lines; the deck bayonet, a second bayonet and a capped outlet for a future heater are options to tick. Then she signed and paid the deposit by PayPal.

What a gas fitting quote should state
Gas work mixes an appliance choice, a measured run and licensed work. Customers need each part spelled out.
The appliance
Each option you'd install, as one choice with its price. No brand names needed.
The run, measured
The line priced by the metre, with the length you measured on site.
Valves, bayonets, outlets
Each connection as a line, the extras as options to tick.
Testing and commissioning
What you test before the appliance is used, in your own words.
What isn't included
Electrical work, ducting, cut-outs and making good, listed so it's signed.
Your certificate, afterwards
Your own compliance certificate added as a PDF after the job.
Your safety notes, the same on every quote
Write your gas safety and compliance wording once, as a block in your content library, and lock it: every gas fitter on the team uses it, and nobody edits it on a single quote.
After the job, add your own compliance certificate to the document as a PDF block, so the customer has the quote, the signature and the certificate together. QuoteCloud doesn't issue, check or lodge certificates.

Questions plumbers ask
Can I price a gas line by the metre?
Yes. Add the gas line as a price-table line with a rate per metre and the length you measured. With quantity editing turned on for that line, the customer can change the metres, for example to move a bayonet, and the total and deposit update.
Does QuoteCloud issue gas compliance certificates?
No. QuoteCloud doesn't issue, check or lodge certificates. You can attach your own compliance certificate to the signed document as a PDF block after the job, so the customer has it with their quote and signature.
Can every gas fitter use the same safety wording?
Yes. Save your safety and compliance notes as a block in your content library and use it in your gas templates. On the Business plan, content locking stops the block being edited on individual quotes.
Can the customer choose the appliance?
Yes. Put the cooktops, heaters or other appliances in a single-choice group, each with its price. The customer picks one in the quote and the appliance line and totals update before they sign.
Can the customer pay a deposit by PayPal?
Yes. Connect Stripe or PayPal and set a deposit as a percentage or a fixed amount, or full payment. The customer pays straight after signing. Payments are on Essentials and up.
